{jvideo id=254 height=378 width=660 autoPlay=0}

Supercross will undergo a 'Pink' transformation this weekend in Anaheim to show their support and help promote Breast Cancer Awareness, including contributions to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Orange County.

Expect to see a lot of masculine Supercross guys wearing pink riding gear, or somehow sporting the color to show their support for this great cause. Also it is a Valentines weekend, so many of the guys are getting all kinds of lady love ...

RJ Says: Give me a break in between supercross and motocross

Is the combined supercross / motocross season of today's era too long?

As a former supercross and motocross racer, I don't think the season is too long. Racers want to race.

But I would like to see a couple of changes that I think will make it better for the riders, teams, and most importantly, the fans.

First, I'd like to see a much longer break in between the end of the Supercross season, and the start of the MX season.

I think it would be great if the riders could have at least a couple off weekends off after the supercross season ends. One of the reasons is they could do more 'outdoor' testing at that time, instead of during supercross season.

2011 Seattle Supercross: Qualifying Times

Troy Lee Designs Welcomes Canadian MX National Champ Colton Facciotti to the Team

Christian Craig?s injury at Southwick was heartbreaking for the whole team and Troy Lee Designs is doing everything they can to support him during his rehabilitation. In his absence, three-time Canadian national motocross champion, Colton Facciotti, will be joining the team and taking a swing at American MX glory.

Facciotti came south on his own dime last weekend and posted a solid fifth place in the opening moto in Massachusetts. Anyone who has seen the tall, Canadian rider in his element can attest to his talent and raw speed on a motocross track. The Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda team recognizes that and, with a bike available, is excited to give Colton an opportunity to show his skills on the sports biggest stage.

"I?m looking forward to the last couple rounds and seeing how Colton can do," says Troy Lee, team owner. "I love to see a kid that is hungry to make it happen and I see that fire in him. I think he is going to surprise a lot of people who haven?t followed his career. The kid is fast."

Colton is anxious to for this weekend too.

"I?m pumped to get the opportunity to ride for TLD," says Colton. Adding, "It?s always been a dream of mine since I was little to get on one of the elite teams in the US and hopefully I can do them proud and get some good results."

If you are heading to the Steel City National Motocross this weekend, or the Pala National MX the following weekend, be sure to keep an eye out for Colton Facciotti. If we?re right, you might just find him at the front of the pack.

Jake Weimer, former West Region Supercross Lites Champion, to race inaugural Monster Energy Cup hybrid supercross - motocross in Las Vegas

You've heard about it. It's the inaugural Monster Energy Cup at Las Vegas Sam Boyd Stadium October 15. And former Supercross Lites Champion Jake Weimer and his Kawasaki will be racing in it.

Jake was the 2010 West Regional Supercross Lites champion, and has nine-career Lites supercross class wins. Weimer has moved up to the 'big' class in Supercross and Motocross for 2011 and Kawasaki. And he will be on the KX450F, ready to battle against the world's top riders in this one-of-a-kind race.

Jake says: Anytime you have a chance to win $1 million in one night, you want to take advantage of it. I definitely want to go there and do well. It's cool that Feld and Monster have stepped up to make this a unique event. Because we've never really had a race like this (hybrid supercross / motocross) before, it could make for some interesting battles. I have done well racing the supercross finale at Sam Boyd Stadium, which is typically hard-packed and dry, so I hope my experience can carry over to this hybrid track.

The unique hybrid track will consist of supercross / MX terrain and will have a tremendous MX style influence, making it unlike any other stadium race in the world. This track will be the perfect blend of supercross and motocross combined and created into the ultimate battleground. The Monster Energy Cup posts a $250,000 purse with the winner walking away with a $100,000 check, and for the first time ever, $1 million will be paid to a rider that wins all three main events.
