Brett Metcalfe to Race Inaugural Monster Energy Cup

Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki's Brett Metcalfe, of Lake Elsinore, Calif., will race at the hyprid supercross/motocross Inaugural Monster Energy Cup at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium on October 15.

Metcalfe came to the U.S. from Australia in 2003 and immediately enjoyed success on the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites tour, finishing fifth overall. Before moving to the premier AMA Supercross class earlier this year, he finished a career-best third overall in the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites championship.

During his AMA Supercross debut, Metcalfe earned a season-best fifth place at the first-ever race at Oakland-Alameda County Stadium in Oakland. Following the stop at Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium, Metcalfe withdrew from the championship due to an injury and is eager to compete on the hybrid supercross/motocross track.
