World Motocross MX1 Champion Tony Cairoli and Grand Prix of Netherlands

Tony Cairoli twisted his knee severely at the Bulgarian Grand Prix of Motocross over two weeks ago. He wen thru a lot in the two weeks leading up to last Monday's Grand Prix of Netherlands. But neither the pain in his knee, or the memory of Bugaria could stop him. He arrived very motivated (although in pain) to Valkenswaard ... and ended up winning the MX1 Grand Prix!

After the GP of Bulgaria, Tony first went to visit his doctor, Dr. Toon Claes. They conducted an MRI, and after that scan Dr. Claes could tell that Tony damaged his patellar tendon and miniscus. Also he found a bone fracture in the femur and saw that Tony's ACL's are streched!

Tony said Valkenswaard was one of most difficult races if his career, but he ended the day with a first moto win, second position in the second heat, and won the GP - the 38th of his career.

Tony had great starts in both heats, but lost important positions in the first corner. In heat one he hit hay bale in the first corner and had problems getting rid of that! In both races he showed great race speed, and made spectacular comebacks!

The video shows more of what KTM's racing efforts are all about. They are like a big family. We hope you enjoy the video, and you'll also see a few words from many of the 'family' to World MX 2 Champion Marvin Musquin and his girlfriend Mathilde, who have moved to the USA to race supercross and motocross for KTM.
