As the West Region ends for a while, and East region gets ready to start up ... In 250 West Supercross 2010, Jake Weimer and Trey Canard are showing a lot of confidence right now. I'm very impressed with both of these racers right now. This past race at Anaheim was a good example for both of them.
Series points leader Jake Weimer has a great heat race with a win, even after that heat was red-flagged. Jake had some trouble in the Main Event, but showed his smarts by charging hard the full 15 laps, coming up to eighth at the finish ... that could literally save his season and potentially the championship title.
Trey had some problems in his heat, but came back very strong in the final - he won the 250 Main in Anaheim. That shows a lot of maturity from him as a rider.

Courtesy Yoshimura Suzuki and The Creative Works. As the beginning of the 2012 AMA / FIM Supercross season approaches, the Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team is more than ready to rumble. Heading into the first Supercross race of the season at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, on Saturday, January 7, Yoshimura Suzuki?s Brett Metcalfe is looking forward to putting his Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 on the podium in what will be his sophomore year racing the premier Supercross class.

?I?m really excited about Anaheim 1,? said Metcalfe. ?Last season, I had a tough time and I made some mistakes that took me out of the Supercross championship, but I learned a lot. And we really hit some points in the off-season testing and, right now, I think I'm riding the best Supercross I ever have. I?m excited about that, and I can?t wait until January 7th comes around and we get to go racing. I think we?ll be well prepared and hungry to get out there. I?m just looking forward to going for those race wins and putting the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 up front.?

Supercross will undergo a 'Pink' transformation this weekend in Anaheim to show their support and help promote Breast Cancer Awareness, including contributions to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Orange County.
Expect to see a lot of masculine Supercross guys wearing pink riding gear, or somehow sporting the color to show their support for this great cause. Also it is a Valentines weekend, so many of the guys are getting all kinds of lady love ...Ernesto Fonseca Lauris Freibergs Paul Friedrichs Steven Frossard Eric Geboers Sylvain Geboers Broc Glover Rui Goncalves
At the 13th annual 'A Day in the Dirt' I got a chance to talk with Sayaka "Teriyaki Sauce" Kaneshiro, WMX Pro #15
How was your racing today?
It was good, I thought we had a practice first, I went out and it was actually a race. I was just racing and riding around, I felt like ... WOW!

What did you think of the event overall?
It was to difficult racing for me, because I didn't ride my pace. I rode about 6th place, less than I wanted to. I got the same number as last year, I just tried to do my best.
